The Project

The client sought a Sustainability Engineer to calculate the Grid-Emission Factor (GEF) for Malawi and develop a tool for ongoing GEF calculations, ensuring full compliance with UNFCCC guidelines.

The deliverables included:

Utilizing the latest version of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) “Tool to calculate the emission factor for an electricity system” for accurate GEF calculations
Developing a user-friendly tool for continuous GEF monitoring and reporting
