About the Client

Sequence Green is a key delivery partner of the Green Cities and Infrastructure Centre of Expertise Programme (GCIEP), a demand driven program that supports the development of sustainable green cities and climate resilient infrastructure in lower income countries.

A flagship programme of the UK Government, it accelerates investment in responsible, inclusive, low carbon, and climate resilient infrastructure and energy projects through better policy and advancing high quality projects

The Project

The programme required senior investment expertise to guide investment in the Zambian energy sector through technical assistance. This would support the development of financeable and well structured clean energy deals, and an improved investment environment.

In delivering the work, the expert provided strategic and technical oversight across the portfolio. This included:

Developing and refining the investment technical assistance strategy with thematic and delivery leads.
Engaging DFIs, MDBs, IFIs, and private sector partners to support capital mobilization and partnership
development.
Working with FCDO and in-country stakeholders to identify, scope, and deliver technical assistance projects.
Tracking project delivery, capturing insights, and supporting programme reporting.
Advancing a pipeline of investment opportunities.
Coordinating with delivery teams and UK Government stakeholders to support funding deployment and investment progression
