About the Client

Tatanga Energy is a developer of Independent Power Projects (IPPs). Tatanga Energy’s mission is to provide affordable clean energy solutions across sub–Saharan Africa. Tatanga Energy focuses on developing renewable energy projects in countries with favourable regulatory environments, robust renewable energy frameworks and positive power sector trends.

The Project

The client sought an Human Resource (HR) Specialist to update and align their existing HR frameworks. This included updating compensation frameworks required to align the founders’ historical contributions, employees’ current compensation needs and the frameworks required to support talent acquisition and retention thus improving predictability and employee alignment

Additional requirements included:

  • A report outlining mechanisms for compensating founders for historical contributions and aligning future employee incentives
  • Recommendations for performance-based incentives
  • A high-level roadmap for talent retention strategies in a resource-constrained environment
  • Upgrading of HR frameworks and Policies
